romano orthopaedics megan

Megan McCaleb received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She went on to graduate from Midwestern University’s Physician Assistant Program in 2016. Megan works closely with Dr. Romano in the clinic setting and operating room.

Before Megan attended Physician Assistant school, she was a Patient Care Technician at Adventist LaGrange Memorial Hospital on the cardiology unit for two years. During her time in graduate school, Megan gained hands-on experience in many fields of medicine including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, wound care, family medicine, and internal medicine. She evaluates and treats many orthopaedic conditions and along with the other physician assistant, runs a bone health clinic for treatment of osteoporosis in our patient population.

During college, Megan volunteered at Carle Foundation Hospital on the Cardiac Rehab and Surgical units helping patients of all of ages recover after surgery. Recently, she has volunteered her time at Feed My Starving Children with her fellow classmates preparing food for families in need.

Megan loves going to work out classes, trying new restaurants in the city, and spending time with friends and family in her free time.
