Proper balance can reduce the risk of injury and improve athletic performance.

In order to maintain balance, your mind and body must coordinate simultaneous inputs from a variety of sources including your inner ear, muscles and nerves, and your sight. If everything isn’t working at 100% efficiency, loss of stability can occur – producing a greater likelihood of falls and even injuries.

But even when overt injuries don’t happen, balance problems can produce other problems elsewhere. The body compensates – putting greater strain, wear, and tear on other body parts in response… which, in turn, lead to further stress and damage.

In our practice, we use Autonomic Neuro-Muscular Reflex Testing (ANMRT) to assess your body’s ability to maintain a stable posture. In addition, it can help us identify the root cause of an injury through a more systematic, neurological approach that checks the health of your peripheral nervous system.
